GST Updates
As of April 1, 2025, session fees no longer include GST.
This change follows the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines for GST exemptions for small suppliers and counselling services.
GST credits have been applied for sessions held in April 2025.
If you paid for sessions between June 20, 2024, and March 31, 2025, and wish to apply for a GST refund, you can submit Form GST189 to the Canada Revenue Agency.
Clients who paid through extended health benefits may be required to forward refunded GST amounts to their provider.
Please know that GST refund applications are reviewed solely at the discretion of CRA, and approval is not guaranteed.
Please note: While I am happy to provide general information, Nutbrown Counselling is not responsible for the submission, processing, or outcome of GST refund applications. For personalized advice regarding tax matters, please consult the Canada Revenue Agency or a qualified tax professional.
Fee Adjustment
As of June 1, 2025, session fees will increase by $10.
This change applies to all clients, including those accessing services through CVAP (Crime Victim Assistance Program), who will be billed a $10 top-up per session.
This adjustment reflects the BCACC’s recommended fee schedule and supports the sustainability of the services I provide.
Thank you so much for your understanding and ongoing support with this adjustment.
Additional Note for Invoices and Receipts
Note: Clients are responsible for any GST refund applications. Nutbrown Counselling is not liable for refund outcomes.
