A Note About This Website
I believe in honesty, clarity, and care — in the counselling room and beyond. This page is here to help you understand the purpose of the information shared on this website, as well as what you can (and can’t) expect from Nutbrown Counselling outside of sessions. If anything here brings up questions, I’d be happy to chat with you about it.
I Am Not a Crisis Service
While I’m here to walk alongside you in your healing, Nutbrown Counselling is not a crisis or emergency service.

Counselling Is Not Medical or Psychiatric Care
Counselling is a powerful space for growth, self-understanding, and healing. That said, I don’t provide medical services like diagnoses or prescriptions. If you’re working with a doctor, psychiatrist, or other healthcare provider, I’m happy to collaborate (with your permission) as part of your circle of care.
Progress Looks Different for Everyone
Therapy is a deeply personal journey — sometimes full of insights and breakthroughs, and other times slower and more subtle. While I’ll be fully present and engaged in supporting you, I can’t promise specific outcomes. Every person’s path is different, and I honour wherever you are in yours.
About the Website Content
Everything you see here — blog posts, resources, and links — is shared with care and meant for general information only. It’s not a substitute for personalized counselling or professional advice. I do my best to keep things accurate and helpful, but information can change over time.
A Note About Email & Privacy
I take your confidentiality seriously and follow all legal and ethical standards in Canada. Please keep in mind that email and online communication aren’t fully secure, so it’s best to use them just for practical things like scheduling, not for sharing personal or sensitive details.
Guided by Professional Ethics
I’m a Registered Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and my work is grounded in their professional and ethical standards. If you’d like to know more about what guides my practice, you can view those documents here:

If you ever have questions about how I work or what your rights are as a client, I’ll always do my best to answer them clearly and respectfully.
Serving Clients in BC and Beyond
Nutbrown Counselling is based in Kelowna, British Columbia, and I offer services in line with Canadian counselling standards. At this time, I’m able to work with clients living in provinces or territories where I am legally permitted to practice.
